The Thule 9010 archway quickly secures to trunk and/or hatchback seams with multiple straps just like other carriers in its class, but also contains unique features. The first of these is its easy-to-use, patented FitDial hub adjustment system. Built around angle adjusting levers at the right and left of the unit's hub and utilizing a precise easy to remember number system, it provides for a perfect and easy to replicate fit to vehicle exteriors every time it's used. Next are the archway's no-sway cage elements, which attach and extend below each of the rubberized cradles that support your bike frame along to top of the carrier arms. No-sway attachments, used in conjunction with Stay-Put cradle straps, dramatically reduce front-to-back and side-to-side bike frame movement, delivering bike stability that can be comparable to that enjoyed by much more expensive bike carriers. In addition to this, the easy maneuverability of the carrier arms allow for convenient and quick movement up or down to the precise place you need them. This makes the rack usable with virtually any bike frame size. Each arm is also able to be locked down firmly via an easy to use cinch lever at the hub of the unit at either side. This makes driving and parking easier while the rack is installed, but empty of bikes.
Two-way Locking Functionality
Because the security of bikes from theft is always a concern when they are left alone mounted on your vehicle, the Thule 9010 archway offers two levels of security. First, the unit ships with a lock cylinder and key that can be used to lock the integrated retractable cable that extends from the right carrier arm. This cable lock can be be used to secure anywhere from one to three bikes to the carrier. Also included with the rack is a Thule TrunkLocker strap. This strap has two distinct ends. One of these loops around the rack while the opposite end, which contains an integrated puck-like element, hangs over the interior edge of your trunk or hatchback. By closing the trunk with this end in place, the entire rack is secured to your vehicle.

I recommend it.Pros: - Versatile. Fits just about any vehicle. - Locks bikes to the rack. - Locks rack to the car. - Sway clips are a nice touch. - Does not damage my car and arms fold up when not holding bikes. - With one exception, does everything it claims to do. Cons: - Does NOT hold three full size bikes. Barely holds two. - Did not have easy-setup help for my car, had to wing it. Put it on backwards at first. - Arms aren't particularly easy to move once unlocked, but the manual provides decent advice for this. - Might be able to find something comparable made in the USA. - Does not include wheel stops.
